दधार सुप्रतीको5पि वेलेव मकरालयम् । समरभूमिमें अपनी ओर आते हुए उस हाथीको गजराज सुप्रतीकने उसी प्रकार रोक दिया, जैसे तटकी भूमि समुद्रको आगे बढ़नेसे रोके रहती है || ४४ हू ।।

അപ്പോൾ ഗജരാജൻ സുപ്രതീകൻ, തീരം മകരാലയമായ സമുദ്രത്തെ തടയുന്നതുപോലെ, അവനെ തടഞ്ഞു. ദശാർണത്തിന്റെ മഹാത്മാവാൽ ആ നാഗേന്ദ്രൻ തടയപ്പെട്ടതു കണ്ടപ്പോൾ യുദ്ധത്തിന്റെ വേഗം മന്ദമായി—അനിയന്ത്രിത ബലത്തിന് പ്രകൃതിയേ തന്നെ പരിധി വെച്ചതുപോലെ.
