भीष्मशिबिरगमनम् — Duryodhana’s Visit to Bhīṣma’s Camp and the Command Appeal
न्यवेदयत चात्मानमर्जुनस्य महात्मन: । इरावानस्मि भद्रं ते पुत्रश्चाहं तव प्रभो,उस सत्यपराक्रमी महाबाहु वीरने अपने पिताके पास पहुँचकर शान्तभावसे उन्हें प्रणाम किया और विनयपूर्वक हाथ जोड़ महामना अर्जुनके समक्ष अपना परिचय देते हुए बोला--'प्रभो! आपका कल्याण हो। मैं आपका ही पुत्र इरावान् हूँ।/ उसकी माताके साथ अर्जुनका जो समागम हुआ था, वह सब उसने निवेदन किया। पाण्डुनन्दन अर्जुनको वह सब वृत्तान्त यथार्थ-रूपसे स्मरण हो आया
nyavedayat cātmānam arjunasya mahātmanaḥ | irāvān asmi bhadraṃ te putraś cāhaṃ tava prabho ||
പിന്നീട് അവൻ മഹാത്മാവായ അർജുനനോട് സ്വയം പരിചയപ്പെടുത്തി പറഞ്ഞു— “പ്രഭോ, നിനക്കു മംഗളം. ഞാൻ ഇരാവാൻ; ഞാൻ നിന്റെ പുത്രനാണ്.”
