Adhyāya 78 — Bhīṣma’s Advance, Duryodhana’s Rally, and Concurrent Duels (भीष्मस्याभ्युद्यमः, दुर्योधनस्योत्साहवचनम्, विविधयुद्धवर्णनम्)
सादिनश्न हयान् राजन् रथिनश्न महारणे । हस्त्यारोहान् हयारोहा रथिन: सादिनस्तथा
sādināś ca hayān rājan rathināś ca mahāraṇe | hastyārohān hayārohā rathinaḥ sādinās tathā ||
സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—രാജാവേ! ആ മഹായുദ്ധത്തിൽ അശ്വാരോഹികൾ അശ്വാരോഹികളെയും രഥികളെയും ലക്ഷ്യമാക്കി പാഞ്ഞു. അതുപോലെ അശ്വാരോഹികൾ ഗജാരോഹികളെയും രഥികളെയും ആക്രമിച്ചു; രഥികളും പദാതികളും തങ്ങളുടെ പ്രഹരങ്ങൾ തുടർന്നു।
