त॑ दृष्टवा व्यथितं भीममभिमन्युपुरोगमा: । नामृष्यन्त महेष्वासा: पाण्डवानां महारथा:,भीमसेनको प्रहारसे पीड़ित हुआ देख अभिमन्यु आदि महाथनुर्धर पाण्डव महारथी यह सहन न कर सके
taṁ dṛṣṭvā vyathitaṁ bhīmam abhimanyu-purogamāḥ | nāmṛṣyanta maheṣvāsāḥ pāṇḍavānāṁ mahā-rathāḥ ||
സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഭീമൻ പ്രഹാരത്തിൽ വേദനിക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടപ്പോൾ, അഭിമന്യുവിനെ മുൻപാക്കി പാണ്ഡവരുടെ മഹാധനുർധര മഹാരഥന്മാർ അതു സഹിച്ചില്ല।
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights the warrior-ethic of not remaining indifferent when a comrade is wronged or harmed in battle. It frames solidarity and protection of one’s own side as part of kṣatriya-dharma, where endurance has limits when honor and duty demand response.
Sañjaya reports that Bhīma has been struck and is visibly distressed. Seeing this, the Pāṇḍava champions—headed by Abhimanyu—are unable to tolerate the sight and are stirred to retaliate or intensify their effort in the fight.
