द्रवतस्तान् समालक्ष्य भीष्मद्रोणी महारथौ । न्यवारयेतां संरब्धौ दुर्योधनहितैषिणाौं,उन योद्धाओंको भागते देख दुर्योधनका हित चाहनेवाले महारथी भीष्म और द्रोण क्रोधपूर्वक उन्हें रोकने लगे
dravatastān samālakṣya bhīṣmadroṇī mahārathau | nyavārayetāṁ saṁrabdhau duryodhanahitaiṣiṇau ||
സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ആ യോദ്ധാക്കൾ ഓടിപ്പോകുന്നത് കണ്ടപ്പോൾ, ദുര്യോധനന്റെ ക്ഷേമം ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്ന മഹാരഥന്മാരായ ഭീഷ്മനും ദ്രോണനും ക്രോധത്തോടെ അവരെ തടയാൻ മുന്നോട്ടുവന്നു।
