भीष्मपर्व — अध्याय ६२: वासुदेवमहात्म्यप्रशंसा (देव–ब्रह्मसंवादः)
तावेकरथसंयुक्तौ सौबलेयस्य वाहिनीम् | व्यधमेतां शितैस्तूर्ण शरैः संनतपर्वभि:,फिर एक ही रथपर बैठे हुए वे दोनों वीर झुकी हुई गाँठवाले पैने बाणोंसे तुरंत ही सुबलपुत्र शकुनिकी सेनाका संहार करने लगे
tāv ekaratha-saṁyuktau saubaleyasya vāhinīm | vyadhametāṁ śitais tūrṇaṁ śaraiḥ saṁnata-parvabhiḥ ||
പിന്നീട് ഒരേ രഥത്തിൽ ചേർന്നിരുന്ന ആ രണ്ടു വീരന്മാർ വളഞ്ഞ സന്ധികളുള്ള മൂർച്ചയേറിയ അമ്പുകളാൽ സൗബലേയൻ (ശകുനി)ന്റെ സൈന്യത്തെ വേഗത്തിൽ തകർത്തുതുടങ്ങി।
