द्रोणस्तु निशितैर्बाणैर्धष्टद्युम्ममविध्यत । सारथिं चास्य भल्लेन रथनीडादपातयत्
droṇas tu niśitair bāṇair dhṛṣṭadyumnam avidhyat | sārathiṃ cāsya bhallena rathanīḍād apātayat |
സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു— അപ്പോൾ ദ്രോണാചാര്യൻ മൂർച്ചയുള്ള അമ്പുകളാൽ ധൃഷ്ടദ്യുമ്നനെ വേദിച്ചു പരിക്കേൽപ്പിച്ചു; പിന്നെ ‘ഭല്ല’ അമ്പുകൊണ്ട് അവന്റെ സാരഥിയെ വധിച്ച് രഥാസനത്തിൽ നിന്ന് താഴെ വീഴ്ത്തി।
