पाज्चाल्यमथ संत्यज्य द्रोणो5पि रथिनां वर: । विराटद्रुपदौ वृद्धौ वारयामास संयुगे

Transliteration

Pāñcālyam atha saṁtyajya Droṇo 'pi rathināṁ varaḥ | Virāṭa-Drupadau vṛddhau vārayāmāsa saṁyuge ||

Translation

സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—അപ്പോൾ രഥികളിൽ ശ്രേഷ്ഠനായ ദ്രോൺ പാഞ്ചാലകുമാരൻ ധൃഷ്ടദ്യുമ്നനെ വിട്ട്, യുദ്ധത്തിൽ വൃദ്ധരായ വിരാടനും ദ്രുപദനും—ഈ രണ്ടു രാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ മുന്നേറ്റം തടഞ്ഞു.
