तयोर्नवरयोर्दृष्टवा तादृशं त॑ पराक्रमम्
tayor nara-varyor dṛṣṭvā tādṛśaṃ taḥ parākramam
സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ആ രണ്ടു നരശ്രേഷ്ഠരുടെ അത്തരം അത്ഭുതപരാക്രമം കണ്ടപ്പോൾ, അവരുടെ വീര്യബലത്തിന്റെ പ്രഹരത്തിൽ അവൻ വിസ്മയിച്ചു. യുദ്ധം എത്ര കഠിനമായി പടരുകയാണെന്നും, യുദ്ധത്തോട് ചേർന്ന ശക്തി ധർമ്മത്തിന്റെയും സംയമത്തിന്റെയും അതിരുകൾ എങ്ങനെ പരീക്ഷിക്കുകയാണെന്നും സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്ന അശുഭലക്ഷണമെന്നപോലെ അത് തോന്നി.
