Bhīṣma–Dhanaṃjaya Duel and the Opening Clash
राजन्नन्तरमार्गस्थौ स्थितावास्तां मुहुर्मुहुः | राजन! दोनों ही एक-दूसरेके प्रहारोंमें छिद्र ढूँढ़नेके लिये सतर्क थे। वे बारंबार छिद्रान्वेषणके मार्गमें स्थित हो छिद्र देखनेमें संलग्न रहते थे
rājann antaramārgasthau sthitāv āstāṃ muhur muhuḥ |
സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—രാജാവേ, ആ രണ്ടു യോദ്ധാക്കളും വീണ്ടും വീണ്ടും സമീപനപഥത്തിൽ തന്നേ നിലയുറപ്പിച്ചു നിന്നു. പരസ്പരപ്രഹാരങ്ങളിൽ വിടവ് തേടാൻ അവർ എപ്പോഴും ജാഗ്രതയോടെ, പുനഃപുനഃ രന്ധ്രാന്വേഷണത്തിൽ ലീനരായി അവസരം നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.
