Rajo-dhūli-saṃmūḍha-saṅgrāmaḥ

सर्व बल॑ परित्यज्य दुर्ग संश्रित्य तिष्तति
sarva-balaṁ parityajya durgaṁ saṁśritya tiṣṭhati
ധൃതരാഷ്ട്രൻ പറഞ്ഞു—സകല സൈന്യബലവും ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച് അവൻ ദുർഗ്ഗത്തെ ആശ്രയിച്ച് അവിടെ തന്നെ നിലകൊണ്ടു. മുൻപ് അവൻ മുഴുവൻ സേനയും വിട്ട് ഒറ്റയ്ക്കായി കോട്ടയിൽ ഒളിഞ്ഞിരുന്നു; പിന്നീടു പാണ്ഡവരുടെ പ്രതാപത്തിന്റെ സമ്മർദ്ദത്തിൽ ദുർഗ്ഗമദേശത്ത് പാർത്തു, നിരന്തരം ശത്രുക്കൾക്ക് തടസ്സം സൃഷ്ടിച്ചിട്ടും ആര്യവൃത്തിയെ പാലിക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങി.
