हयानां ह्ेषमाणानामनीकेषु सहस्रश: । सर्वानिभ्यभवच्छब्दान् भीमस्य नदत: स्वन:,उन सेनाओंमें हजारों घोड़े जोर-जोरसे हिनहिना रहे थे; परंतु गर्जना करते हुए भीमसेनका शब्द उन सब शब्दोंको दबाकर ऊपर उठ गया था
hayānāṁ hreṣamāṇānām anīkeṣu sahasraśaḥ | sarvān abhyabhavac chabdān bhīmasya nadataḥ svanaḥ ||
ആ വ്യൂഹങ്ങളിൽ ആയിരക്കണക്കിന് കുതിരകൾ ഉച്ചത്തിൽ ഹേഷിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു; എങ്കിലും ഗർജിച്ച ഭീമസേനന്റെ നാദം ആ എല്ലാ ശബ്ദങ്ങളെയും മറികടന്ന് ഉയർന്നു നിന്നു।
