देशानां च परीमाणं नगराणां च संजय । श्रोतुमिच्छामि तत्त्वेन यत एते समागता:,“संजय! ये लोग जहाँ-जहाँसे आये हैं, उन देशों और नगरोंका यथार्थ परिमाण मैं तुमसे सुनना चाहता हूँ
deśānāṃ ca parīmāṇaṃ nagarāṇāṃ ca saṃjaya | śrotum icchāmi tattvena yata ete samāgatāḥ ||
വൈശമ്പായനൻ പറഞ്ഞു— സഞ്ജയാ, ഇവർ ഏത് ഏത് ദേശങ്ങളിലും നഗരങ്ങളിലും നിന്നാണ് വന്നതെന്ന്, ആ ദേശങ്ങളുടെയും നഗരങ്ങളുടെയും യഥാർത്ഥ പരിധിയും വ്യാപ്തിയും ഞാൻ തത്ത്വമായി കേൾക്കാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു.
