सम्बन्ध-- इस प्रकार भगवान्से अपने अपराधोंके लिये क्षमा-याचना करके अब अर्जुन दो शलोकोमें भगवान्से चतुर्थुजरूपका दर्शन करानेके लिये प्रार्थना करते हैं-- अदृष्टपूर्व हृषितो5स्मि दृष्टवा भयेन च प्रव्यथितं मनो मे । तदेव मे दर्शय देवरूपं॑३ प्रसीद देवेश जगन्निवास,मैं पहले न देखे हुए आपके इस आश्चवर्यमय रूपको देखकर हर्षित हो रहा हूँ और मेरा मन भयसे अति व्याकुल भी हो रहा है,* इसलिये आप उस अपने चतुर्भुज विष्णुरूपको ही मुझे दिखलाइये। हे देवेश! हे जगन्निवास! प्रसन्न होइये
adṛṣṭapūrvaṁ hṛṣito ’smi dṛṣṭvā bhayena ca pravyathitaṁ mano me | tad eva me darśaya devarūpaṁ prasīda deveśa jagannivāsa ||
അർജുനൻ പറഞ്ഞു—മുമ്പൊരിക്കലും കണ്ടിട്ടില്ലാത്ത നിങ്ങളുടെ ഈ അത്ഭുതരൂപം കണ്ടപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ ആനന്ദത്തോടെ നിറഞ്ഞു; എന്നാൽ ഭയത്താൽ എന്റെ മനസ്സും അത്യന്തം വിറച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. അതിനാൽ ദയചെയ്ത് നിങ്ങളുടെ അതേ പരിചിതമായ ദിവ്യ ചതുര്ഭുജരൂപം വീണ്ടും എനിക്ക് കാണിച്ചുതരണമേ. ദേവേശാ, ജഗന്നിവാസാ, പ്രസന്നനാകണമേ.
