उत्पातवर्णनम् (Utpāta-varṇanam) — Catalogue of Portents
एतानि जयमानानां लक्षणानि विशाम्पते | भवन्ति विपरीतानि मुमूर्षणां जनाधिप
etāni jayamānānāṁ lakṣaṇāni viśāmpate | bhavanti viparītāni mumūrṣaṇāṁ janādhipa ||
വ്യാസൻ പറഞ്ഞു—വിശാംപതേ! ഇവ ജയത്തിലേക്ക് ഉയരുന്നവർക്കുള്ള ശുഭലക്ഷണങ്ങളാണ്. എന്നാൽ ജനാധിപാ! മരണസന്നിഹിതർക്കു ഇതേ ലക്ഷണങ്ങൾ മറിച്ചായി മാറി അശുഭ നിമിത്തങ്ങളാകുന്നു।
