उत्पातवर्णनम् (Utpāta-varṇanam) — Catalogue of Portents
शुक्र: प्रोष्ठपदे पूर्वे समारुह्मु विरोचते । उत्तरे तु परिक्रम्य सहित: समुदीक्षते
śukraḥ proṣṭhapade pūrve samāruhya virocate | uttare tu parikramya sahitaḥ samudīkṣate |
ശുക്രൻ പൂർവ പ്രോഷ്ഠപദാ (പൂർവ ഭാദ്രപദാ) നക്ഷത്രത്തിൽ ഉയർന്ന് ദീപ്തമായി പ്രകാശിക്കുന്നു; പിന്നെ പരിക്രമിച്ച് ‘പരിഘ’ എന്ന ഉപഗ്രഹത്തോടൊപ്പം ചേർന്ന് ഉത്തര പ്രോഷ്ഠപദാ (ഉത്തര ഭാദ്രപദാ)യിലേക്കു ദൃഷ്ടി പതിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു।
