Bhīṣma-parva Adhyāya 16 — Saṃjaya’s Boon, Bhīṣma’s Protection, and the Dawn Arraying of Armies
गजानां बूंहतां चैव योधानां चापि गर्जताम् । क्ष्वेलितास्फोटितोकत्क्रुष्टैस्तुमुलं सर्वती5भवत्
sañjaya uvāca |
gajānāṁ bṛṁhatāṁ caiva yodhānāṁ cāpi garjatām |
kṣvelitāsphoṭitotkruṣṭais tumulaṁ sarvatobhavat bharatanandana ||
സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഭരതനന്ദനാ! ആനകളുടെ ഗർജ്ജനം, യോദ്ധാക്കളുടെ സിംഹനാദം, കുതിരകളുടെ ഹേഷിതം, കൈയടിയും ഉച്ചത്തിലുള്ള യുദ്ധഘോഷങ്ങളും ചേർന്ന് ഉയർന്ന ആ തുമുലനാദം എല്ലാദിക്കിലും വ്യാപിച്ചു।
