Bhīṣma-nipāta-saṃvāda — Sañjaya’s Report of Bhīṣma’s Fall (भीष्मनिपातसंवादः)
यस्मिज्जाते महावीरयें शान्तनुलोकविश्रुत: । शोकं दैन्यं च दुःखं च प्राजहात् पुत्रलक्ष्मणि
yasmiñ jāte mahāvīrye śāntanulokaviśrutaḥ | śokaṁ dainyaṁ ca duḥkhaṁ ca prājahāt putralakṣmaṇi ||
ലോകവിഖ്യാതനായ ശാന്തനുനന്ദനൻ ആ മഹാവീരൻ ജനിച്ചപ്പോൾ, പുത്രലക്ഷ്മി ലഭിച്ചതിനാൽ ഞാൻ ശോകവും ദൈന്യവും ദുഃഖവും ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു.
