Bhīṣma-nipāta-saṃvāda — Sañjaya’s Report of Bhīṣma’s Fall (भीष्मनिपातसंवादः)
निकृन्तन्तमनीकानि शरदंष्टं मनस्विनम् । चापव्यात्ताननं घोरमसिजिह्ठलं दुरासदम्
nikṛntantam anīkāni śarad-aṃṣṭraṃ manasvinam | cāpa-vyāttānanaṃ ghoraṃ asi-jihvalaṃ durāsadam ||
ധൃതരാഷ്ട്രൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഞാൻ അദ്ദേഹത്തെ വ്യൂഹങ്ങളെ വെട്ടിത്തകർക്കുന്നതായി കണ്ടു—ശരദ്കാല ദംഷ്ട്രങ്ങളുള്ള ഒരു ക്രൂരമൃഗംപോലെ. അദ്ദേഹം മനസ്വിയും ദൃഢനിശ്ചയിയും; ഭയാനകൻ—വില്ല് വലിച്ച് വായ് പിളർന്നപോലെ, വാൾ അഗ്നിജിഹ്വപോലെ മിന്നി; അദ്ദേഹത്തോട് അടുക്കുക അത്യന്തം ദുഷ്കരം.
