Transliteration

sañjaya uvāca | abhyadhāvan parīpsantaḥ phālgunaṃ bharatarṣabha |

Translation

സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ ഭാരതവൃഷഭാ! ആ ഭീകര നാദം കേട്ട് പാണ്ഡവ മഹാരഥന്മാർ ഫാൽഗുണൻ (അർജുനൻ)നെ രക്ഷിക്കുവാൻ, അവനെ കാക്കണമെന്ന ഉഗ്രാഭിലാഷത്തോടെ, പാഞ്ഞെത്തി.
