भीष्मस्य जलप्रार्थना — अर्जुनस्य पर्जन्यास्त्रप्रयोगः — दुर्योधनं प्रति सन्ध्युपदेशः

ततस्तु सशरं चाप॑ सात्वतस्य महात्मन: । क्षुरप्रेण सुतीक्ष्णेन चिच्छेद कृतहस्तवत्,तत्पश्चात् सिद्धहस्त पुरुषकी भाँति भीमसेनने अत्यन्त तीखे क्षुरप्रके द्वारा महामना कृतवर्माके बाणसहित धनुषको काट डाला
tatastu saśaraṃ cāpaṃ sātvatasya mahātmanaḥ | kṣurapreṇa sutīkṣṇena ciccheda kṛtahastavat ||
സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—അതിനുശേഷം ഭീമസേനൻ കൈപ്പാടുള്ള യോദ്ധാവിനെപ്പോലെ അത്യന്തം മൂർച്ചയുള്ള ക്ഷുരപ്ര അമ്പുകൊണ്ട് മഹാത്മാവായ സാത്വതൻ കൃതവർമ്മയുടെ അമ്പോടുകൂടിയ വില്ല് മുറിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു।
