Bhīṣma’s Fall, the Arrow-bed (śara-talpa), and the Establishment of Guard
ध्रुवमास्थाय बीभत्सुरुत्तमास्त्राणि संयुगे | अपास्यान्यान् रणे योधानभ्येष्यति पितामहम्
dhruvam āsthāya bībhatsur uttamāstrāṇi saṁyuge | apāsyānyān raṇe yodhān abhy eṣyati pitāmaham ||
ഇത് നിശ്ചയമെന്നു തോന്നുന്നു—ബീഭത്സു അർജുനൻ യുദ്ധത്തിൽ ഉത്തമാസ്ത്രങ്ങളെ ദൃഢമായി ആശ്രയിച്ച്, മറ്റു യോദ്ധാക്കളെ റണത്തിൽ നിന്ന് അകറ്റി, പിതാമഹൻ ഭീഷ്മനെ നേരിടാൻ മുന്നേറും.
