भीष्मस्य शरशय्या-प्राप्तिः
Bhīṣma’s Fall to the Arrow-Bed
तौ शरान् सूर्यसंकाशान् कर्मारपरिमार्जितान्
tau śarān sūryasaṅkāśān karmāraparimārjitān
സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ആ രണ്ടു അമ്പുകൾ സൂര്യസമാനമായി ദീപ്തമായിരുന്നു; കമാരന്റെ സൂക്ഷ്മമായ മിനുക്കലാൽ നന്നായി പരിമാർജിതം. അവ പ്രകാശവുമായിരുന്നു, പ്രാണഘാതകവുമായിരുന്നു—യുദ്ധകലയും ഉദ്ദേശവും ഒന്നായി സംഗമിച്ചതുപോലെ।
