प्रहृष्मनस: शूरा: पाण्डवा: पाण्डुपूर्वज । अभ्यवर्तन्त निध्नन्तस्तव पुत्रस्य वाहिनीम्,पाण्डुके बड़े भैया! शूरवीर पाण्डव मनमें हर्ष और उत्साह भरकर आपके पुत्रकी सेनाका संहार करते हुए आगे बढ़े
sañjaya uvāca | prahṛṣṭamanasaḥ śūrāḥ pāṇḍavāḥ pāṇḍupūrvaja | abhyavartanta nighnantaḥ tava putrasya vāhinīm ||
പാണ്ഡുവിന്റെ ജ്യേഷ്ഠ സഹോദരാ! ശൂരരായ പാണ്ഡവർ ഹർഷോത്സാഹം നിറഞ്ഞ മനസ്സോടെ നിങ്ങളുടെ പുത്രന്റെ സൈന്യത്തെ വധിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് മുന്നോട്ട് നീങ്ങി.
