क्रीडता हि मया बाल्ये वासुदेव महामना: । पांसुरूषितगात्रेण महात्मा परुषीकृत:,“वासुदेव! बचपनमें खेलते समय मैंने अपने धूलि-धूसर शरीरसे उन महामनस्वी महात्माको सदा दूषित किया है

Transliteration

krīḍatā hi mayā bālye vāsudeva mahāmanāḥ | pāṃsurūṣitagātreṇa mahātmā paruṣīkṛtaḥ ||

Translation

സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ വാസുദേവാ! ബാല്യത്തിൽ കളിക്കുമ്പോൾ പൊടിയിൽ മൂടിയ ശരീരത്തോടെ ഞാൻ ആ മഹാമനസ്സുള്ള മഹാത്മാവിനോട് പലവട്ടം കഠിനമായി പെരുമാറി അവനെ മലിനമാക്കി. ഇപ്പോൾ അത് ഓർത്ത് ഞാൻ എന്റെ കുറ്റം സമ്മതിക്കുന്നു.
