Educational Q&A

Even amid the confusion and moral pressure of war, responsible leaders must remain vigilant and deliberate together. The verse highlights disciplined counsel (mantra) and unity among allies as a means to pursue dharma with clarity rather than acting from fear, fatigue, or delusion.

At the onset of a frightening night, the Pāṇḍavas sit in secret consultation along with their allies—the Vṛṣṇis and the formidable Sṛñjayas—planning their next steps while the rest of the world is overtaken by night and sleep.
