समाभाष्यैवमपरं प्रगृह्म रुचिरं धनु: । मुमोच समरे भीष्म: शरान् पार्थरथं प्रति,“महाबाहो! कुन्तीकुमार! बहुत अच्छा, बहुत अच्छा, तुम्हें साधुवाद।” ऐसा कहकर भीष्मने पुनः दूसरा सुन्दर धनुष लेकर समरांगणमें अर्जुनके रथकी ओर बाणोंकी वर्षा आरम्भ कर दी

ഇങ്ങനെ വീണ്ടും അഭിസംബോധന ചെയ്ത ശേഷം ഭീഷ്മൻ മറ്റൊരു മനോഹരമായ ധനുസ്സ് എടുത്തു; യുദ്ധമദ്ധ്യേ പാർഥൻ (അർജുനൻ)ന്റെ രഥത്തേയ്ക്ക് അമ്പുകളുടെ മഴ വിട്ടു।
