संग्रामे भीष्ममासाद्य व्यादितास्यमिवान्तकम् । निमग्ना: परलोकाय सवाजिरथकुज्जरा:
saṅgrāme bhīṣmam āsādya vyāditāsyam ivāntakam | nimagnāḥ paralokāya savājirathakuñjarāḥ ||
സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—യുദ്ധത്തിന്റെ നടുവിൽ വായ് പിളർത്തിയ മരണത്തെപ്പോലെ ഭീഷ്മനെ നേരിട്ടപ്പോൾ, യോദ്ധാക്കൾ കുതിര-രഥ-ഗജങ്ങളോടുകൂടി പരലോകത്തിലേക്ക് മുങ്ങിപ്പോയവരായി തോന്നി.
