वेगवद्धिर्हयैस्तैस्तु क्षोभिता पाण्डवी चमू: । निपतद्/िर्महावेगैहसैरिव महत् सर:,उन वेगशाली अश्वोंने पाण्डवसेनाको उसी प्रकार क्षुब्ध कर दिया, जैसे महान् वेगसे उड़नेवाले हंस किसी विशाल जलाशयमें पड़कर उसे मथ डालते हैं
vegavaddhir hayais tais tu kṣobhitā pāṇḍavī camūḥ | nipatadbhir mahāvegair haṃsair iva mahat saraḥ ||
സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ആ വേഗവാനായ കുതിരകൾ പാണ്ഡവസേനയെ അങ്ങനെ കലക്കിമറിച്ചു; മഹാവേഗത്തിൽ പറന്നെത്തുന്ന ഹംസങ്ങൾ വിശാലമായ തടാകത്തിൽ ഇറങ്ങി വെള്ളം മഥിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ।
