Adhyāya 104 — Śikhaṇḍin-puraskāraḥ (Śikhaṇḍin as Vanguard) and Bhīṣma’s Counter-Advance
तमापततन्तं वेगेन शक्राशनिसमझ्युतिम् । द्विधा चिच्छेद संक्रुद्धो द्रोणि: परमकोपन:
tam āpatatantaṁ vegena śakrāśani-samadyutim | dvidhā ciccheda saṁkruddho droṇiḥ paramakopanaḥ ||
ഇന്ദ്രന്റെ വജ്രംപോലെ ദീപ്തിയായി വേഗത്തിൽ പാഞ്ഞുവരുന്ന ആ അസ്ത്രം കണ്ടപ്പോൾ, പരമക്രോധിയായ ദ്രോണി (അശ്വത്ഥാമൻ) ക്രോധത്തിൽ അതിനെ രണ്ടായി വെട്ടിത്തെറിപ്പിച്ചു।
