Adhyāya 104 — Śikhaṇḍin-puraskāraḥ (Śikhaṇḍin as Vanguard) and Bhīṣma’s Counter-Advance
उभयो: सदृशं कर्म स पितुर्मातुलस्य च । रणे बहुविध॑ चक्रे सर्वशस्त्रभूतां वर:,वीर अभिमन्यु अपने पिता अर्जुनके समान पराक्रमी था। बल और विक्रममें वसुदेवनन्दन श्रीकृष्णकी समानता करता था। सम्पूर्ण शस्त्रधारियोंमें श्रेष्ठ उस वीरने रणक्षेत्रमें उन कौरव रथियोंके साथ अपने पिता और मामा दोनोंके सदृश अनेक प्रकारका शौर्यपूर्ण कार्य किया
ubhayor sadṛśaṁ karma sa pitur mātulasya ca | raṇe bahuvidhaṁ cakre sarvaśastrabhūtāṁ varaḥ ||
സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—സകല ആയുധധാരികളിലും ശ്രേഷ്ഠനായ ആ അഭിമന്യു യുദ്ധത്തിൽ പലവിധ വീരകൃത്യങ്ങൾ ചെയ്തു; അവ പിതാവിന്റെയും മാതുലന്റെയും—ഇരുവരുടെയും—കൃത്യങ്ങളോടു സമാനമായിരുന്നു.
