स त्वं शीघ्रमितो गत्वा भीष्मस्य शिबिरं प्रति अनुमान्य गुरुं वृद्ध शस्त्र न्यासय भारत,भारत! अतः तुम शीघ्र ही यहाँसे भीष्मजीके शिविरमें जाकर अपने उन पूजनीय वृद्ध पितामहको राजी करके उनसे हथियार रखवा दो
sa tvaṁ śīghram ito gatvā bhīṣmasya śibiraṁ prati anumānya guruṁ vṛddha śastra-nyāsaya bhārata bhārata
അതുകൊണ്ട് നീ ഉടൻ ഇവിടെ നിന്ന് ഭീഷ്മന്റെ ശിബിരത്തിലേക്ക് പോകുക; ആ പൂജ്യനായ വൃദ്ധഗുരുവിനെ സമ്മതിപ്പിച്ച്—ഹേ ഭാരത—അദ്ദേഹത്തെ ആയുധങ്ങൾ വച്ചുതള്ളാൻ ഇടയാക്കുക.
