धर्मदृष्टविंधिद्वारैस्तपस्तप्स्यामहे वयम्‌ । भवत: सम्यगिष्टा तु बुद्धिर्हिंसाविवर्जिता

vaiśampāyana uvāca |

dharmadṛṣṭa-vidhi-dvārais tapaḥ tapsyāmahe vayam | bhavataḥ samyag-iṣṭā tu buddhir hiṃsā-vivarjitā | visarjitāḥ samāptau ca satrād asmād vrajāmahe ||

ധർമ്മശാസ്ത്രത്തിൽ കാണുന്ന വിധി-വിധാനങ്ങൾ അനുസരിച്ചുതന്നെ ഞങ്ങൾ തപസ്സു അനുഷ്ഠിക്കും. നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് ഏറ്റവും പ്രിയമുള്ളത് ഹിംസാരഹിതമായ ബുദ്ധിയാകുന്നു; അതിനാൽ, പ്രഭോ, യജ്ഞങ്ങളിൽ എപ്പോഴും അഹിംസയെ തന്നെ സ്ഥാപിച്ച് ഉപദേശിക്കണം. ഈ സത്രയജ്ഞം സമാപിച്ച് നിങ്ങൾ ഞങ്ങളെ വിടയച്ചാൽ, ഞങ്ങൾ ഇവിടെ നിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ടു നമ്മുടെ ഗൃഹങ്ങളിലേക്കു മടങ്ങും.
