ऋषय ऊचु: प्रीता: सम तव वाक्येन न त्विच्छामस्तपोव्ययम्‌ । तैरेव यज्जैस्तुष्टा: सम न्यायेनेच्छामहे वयम्‌

ṛṣaya ūcuḥ: prītāḥ sma tava vākyena na tv icchāmas tapovyayam | tair eva yajñais tuṣṭāḥ sma nyāyenecchāmahe vayam ||

ഋഷിമാർ പറഞ്ഞു—മഹർഷേ! നിങ്ങളുടെ വാക്കുകളിൽ ഞങ്ങൾ പ്രസന്നരാണ്; നിങ്ങളുടെ തപസ്സിന് ക്ഷയം വരുന്നത് ഞങ്ങൾ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നില്ല. നിങ്ങളുടെ ആ യാഗങ്ങളാൽ തന്നെയാണ് ഞങ്ങൾ തൃപ്തർ; ന്യായമായി സമ്പാദിച്ച അന്നമേ ഞങ്ങൾക്കാവശ്യം.
