Marutta’s Sacrifice and Agni’s Embassy (मरुत्त-यज्ञे दूतत्वम्)
वजन गृहीत्वा च पुरन्दर त्वं सम्प्राहार्षीक्ष्यवनस्यातिघोरम् । स ते विप्र: सह वज्ेण बाहु- मपागृह्नात् तपसा जातमन्यु:
vajraṁ gṛhītvā ca purandara tvaṁ samprahārṣī kṣyavanasya atighoram | sa te vipraḥ saha vajreṇa bāhum apāgṛhṇāt tapasā jātamanyuḥ purandara |
ഓ പുരന്ദരാ! ഒരിക്കൽ നീ അതിഘോരമായ വജ്രം കൈയിൽ എടുത്ത് മഹർഷി ച്യവനനെ പ്രഹരിക്കാനൊരുങ്ങിയിരുന്നു; എന്നാൽ ക്രുദ്ധനായ ആ ബ്രഹ്മർഷി തന്റെ തപോബലത്തോടെ വജ്രത്തോടുകൂടി നിന്റെ ഭുജം പിടിച്ചുകെട്ടി തടഞ്ഞു.
