एवमत्र महाराज दक्षिणां त्रिगुणां कुरु । त्रित्वं ब्रजतु ते राजन् ब्राह्मणा ह्वात्र कारणम्
evaṃ atra mahārāja dakṣiṇāṃ triguṇāṃ kuru | tritvaṃ brajatu te rājan brāhmaṇā hy atra kāraṇam ||
വൈശമ്പായനൻ പറഞ്ഞു—മഹാരാജാ, ഇവിടെ ത്രിഗുണ ദക്ഷിണ നൽകുക. രാജൻ, ഈ യാഗത്തിന്റെ പ്രധാന കാരണമാകുന്നത് ബ്രാഹ്മണന്മാരാണ്; അതിനാൽ നിന്റെ ഈ ഏക യാഗം മൂന്നു യാഗങ്ങളുടേതുപോലെ മഹത്വം പ്രാപിക്കും.
