വൈശമ്പായനൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞിട്ട് പാർഥൻ (അർജുനൻ) ഇഷ്ടപ്രകാരം വിഹരിക്കുന്ന അശ്വത്തെ പിന്തുടർന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ടു. തുടർന്ന് ആ വാജി തിരിഞ്ഞ് നാഗാഹ്വയം—ഹസ്തിനാപുരം—നഗരത്തേക്കു പോയി.
