आकुमारं तदा राजन्नागमत् तत्पुरं विभो । द्रष्टकामं कुरुश्रेष्ठ प्रयास्यन्तं धनंजयम्
ā-kumāraṁ tadā rājann āgamat tat-puraṁ vibho | draṣṭu-kāmaṁ kuru-śreṣṭhaṁ prayāsyantaṁ dhanañjayam, janamejaya! prabho! |
വൈശമ്പായനൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ രാജാവേ, ഹേ വിഭോ! അന്ന് യാത്രയ്ക്ക് പുറപ്പെടുന്ന കുരുശ്രേഷ്ഠൻ ധനഞ്ജയനെ കാണുവാൻ ആഗ്രഹിച്ച്, കുട്ടികളിൽ നിന്ന് വൃദ്ധന്മാർ വരെ മുഴുവൻ നഗരം പുറത്ത് ഒഴുകിയെത്തി.
