उन दोनोंने उन महाबाहु श्रीकृष्णको अपनी छातीसे लगा लिया और मीठे वचनोंद्वारा उन्हें सान्त्वना दी। इसके बाद सभी वृष्णिवंशी उनको घेरकर आस-पास बैठ गये,स विश्रान्तो महातेजा: कृतपादावनेजन: । कथयामास तत्सरव॑ पृष्ट: पित्रा महाहवम् महातेजस्वी श्रीकृष्ण जब हाथ-पैर धोकर विश्राम कर चुके, तब पिताके पूछनेपर उन्होंने उस महायुद्धकी सारी घटना कह सुनायी
sa viśrānto mahātejāḥ kṛtapādāvanejanaḥ | kathayāmāsa tat sarvaṁ pṛṣṭaḥ pitrā mahāhavam ||
അവർ ഇരുവരും മഹാബാഹുവായ ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണനെ നെഞ്ചോടു ചേർത്തുപിടിച്ച് മധുരവചനങ്ങളാൽ ആശ്വസിപ്പിച്ചു. പിന്നെ എല്ലാ വൃഷ്ണിവംശക്കാരും അദ്ദേഹത്തെ ചുറ്റി സമീപം ഇരുന്നുവന്നു. മഹാതേജസ്വിയായ ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണൻ കൈകാലുകൾ കഴുകി വിശ്രമിച്ച ശേഷം, പിതാവ് ചോദിച്ചപ്പോൾ ആ മഹായുദ്ധത്തിന്റെ സമഗ്രവൃത്താന്തം യഥാവിധി വിവരിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു.
