Uttanka’s Viśvarūpa Request and the ‘Uttanka Clouds’ Boon (उत्तङ्क-विष्वरूप-दर्शनम्)
मानसं दयितं विप्र सर्वभूतदयात्मकम् । बड़े-बड़े यज्ञोंमें उदगाता उच्च स्वरसे सामगान करके मेरी ही स्तुति करते हैं। ब्रह्मन! प्रायश्चित्त-कर्ममें शान्तिपाठ तथा मंगलपाठ करनेवाले ब्राह्मण सदा मुझ विश्वकर्माका ही स्तवन करते हैं। द्विजश्रेष्ठ! तुम्हें मालूम होना चाहिये कि सम्पूर्ण प्राणियोंपर दया करना-रूप जो धर्म है
mānasaṃ dayitaṃ vipra sarvabhūtadayātmakam | tatrāhaṃ vartamānaiś ca nivṛttaiś caiva mānavaiḥ | tais tais veṣaiś ca rūpaiś ca triṣu lokeṣu bhārgava ||
വായു പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ ബ്രാഹ്മണാ, സർവ്വഭൂതങ്ങളോടും കരുണ കാണിക്കുന്ന ധർമ്മം എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിന് ഏറ്റവും പ്രിയമാണ്. മനുഷ്യർ ആ ധർമ്മത്തിൽ നിലകൊണ്ട് പാപകർമ്മങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് വിട്ടുനിൽക്കി സംയമം തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്നിടത്ത് ഞാൻ അവരോടൊപ്പം വസിക്കുന്നു. കൂടാതെ, ഹേ ഭാർഗവാ, ധർമ്മസംരക്ഷണത്തിനും ധർമ്മസ്ഥാപനത്തിനുമായി ഞാൻ ത്രിലോകങ്ങളിൽ അനേകം യോനികളിൽ പ്രവേശിച്ച്, നാനാരൂപങ്ങളും ബാഹ്യവേഷങ്ങളും ധരിച്ചു, ഓരോ സ്ഥാനത്തിനും യോജിച്ചവിധം പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നു।
