Rajo-guṇa-nirdeśa — Brahmā’s Enumeration of Rajasic Dispositions
बल॑ शौर्य मदो रोषो व्यायामकलहावपि । ईष्येप्सा पिशुनं युद्ध ममत्वं परिपालनम्
balaṁ śaurya-mado roṣo vyāyāma-kalahāv api | īṣyā-īpsā piśunaṁ yuddhaṁ mamatvaṁ paripālanam ||
വായു പറഞ്ഞു—ബലം, ശൗര്യത്തിന്റെ മദം, കോപം, പരിശ്രമം, കലഹം പോലും; അസൂയയും ലാഭലോലമായ ആഗ്രഹവും; പരദൂഷണം; യുദ്ധം; മമത്വവും ‘എന്റെത്’ എന്നു വിളിക്കുന്നതിനെ കാത്തുസൂക്ഷിച്ച് നിലനിർത്താനുള്ള പ്രേരണയും—ഇവയാണ് ജീവികളിൽ ഉദിച്ച് അവരെ തള്ളിനടത്തുന്ന ശക്തികൾ.
