पन्थानं व: प्रवक्ष्यामि शिवं क्षेमकरं द्विजा: । नियतं ब्रह्मुभावाय गत पूर्व मनीषिभि:,द्विजवरो! पूर्व कालमें मनीषी पुरुष जिसका सहारा ले चुके हैं और जो ब्रह्मभावकी प्राप्तिका सुनिश्चित साधन है, उस परम मंगलकारी कल्याणमय मार्गका तुमलोगोंके प्रति उपदेश करता हूँ, उसे ध्यान देकर सुनो

Transliteration

panthānaṃ vaḥ pravakṣyāmi śivaṃ kṣemakaraṃ dvijāḥ | niyataṃ brahmabhāvāya gata-pūrva-manīṣibhiḥ ||

Translation

ഹേ ദ്വിജന്മാരേ! ശിവകരവും ക്ഷേമകരവും ആയ ഒരു പഥം ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പ്രസ്താവിക്കും. അത് ബ്രഹ്മഭാവപ്രാപ്തിക്കുള്ള ഉറച്ച മാർഗം; പൂർവകാല മनीഷികൾ നടന്ന വഴിയാണ്. ശ്രദ്ധയോടെ കേൾക്കുവിൻ.
