ततः: संजायते रूप॑ ततः स्पर्शोडभिजायते । ततः संजायते शब्द: संशयस्तत्र जायते । ततः: संजायते निष्ठा जन्मैतत् सप्तथा विदु:,“वहींसे रूप, स्पर्श और शब्दका प्राकट्य होता है। संशयका जन्म भी वहीं होता है और निश्चयात्मिका बुद्धि भी वहीं पैदा होती है। यह सात प्रकारका जन्म माना गया है
tataḥ saṃjāyate rūpaṃ tataḥ sparśo ’bhijāyate | tataḥ saṃjāyate śabdaḥ saṃśayas tatra jāyate | tataḥ saṃjāyate niṣṭhā janmaitat saptathā viduḥ ||
ആ ഉറവിടത്തിൽ നിന്നുതന്നെ രൂപം ജനിക്കുന്നു; അതിൽ നിന്നുതന്നെ സ്പർശവും പിറക്കുന്നു. അതിൽ നിന്നുതന്നെ ശബ്ദം ഉദ്ഭവിക്കുന്നു; അവിടെയേ സംശയവും ജനിക്കുന്നു. അതിൽ നിന്നുതന്നെ നിശ്ചയാത്മക ബുദ്ധി (നിഷ്ഠ)യും ജനിക്കുന്നു. ഇതിനെ ജന്മത്തിന്റെ ഏഴുവിധ ഭേദമായി പണ്ഡിതർ അറിയുന്നു.
