Arjuna’s request to Krishna and the opening of the Kāśyapa–Brāhmaṇa mokṣa discourse (Āśvamedhika-parva 16)
वायुदेव उवाच श्रावितस्त्वं मया गुह्ूं ज्ञापितश्न॒ सनातनम् | धर्म स्वरूपिणं पार्थ सर्वलोकांश्व शाश्वतान्
vāyudeva uvāca | śrāvitastvaṁ mayā guhyaṁ jñāpitaś ca sanātanam | dharma-svarūpiṇaṁ pārtha sarva-lokāṁś ca śāśvatān |
വായുദേവൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ പാർഥാ! ഒരിക്കൽ ഞാൻ നിന്നെ അത്യന്തം ഗൂഢമായ ഉപദേശം ശ്രവിപ്പിക്കുകയും, ധർമ്മസ്വരൂപമായ സനാതന പരമതത്ത്വം ബോധിപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു; ശാശ്വത ലോകങ്ങളെയും ഞാൻ വിവരണം ചെയ്തു. എന്നാൽ നീ നിന്റെ അവിവേകത്താൽ ആ ഉപദേശം മനസ്സിൽ നിലനിർത്തിയില്ല—അത് എനിക്ക് അത്യന്തം അപ്രിയമാണ്. ഇപ്പോൾ ആ കാര്യങ്ങൾ മുഴുവനായി ഓർമ്മയിൽ വരുക അസാധ്യമായതായി തോന്നുന്നു.
