जातीमरणतत्त्वज्ञं कोविदं पापपुण्ययो: । द्रष्टारमुच्चनीचानां कर्मभिवदेहिनां गतिम्‌

jātimaraṇatattvajñaṁ kovidaṁ pāpapuṇyayoḥ | draṣṭāram uccanīcānāṁ karmabhir dehināṁ gatiṁ ||

അദ്ദേഹം ജനനമരണ തത്ത്വജ്ഞനും പാപപുണ്യവിഷയങ്ങളിൽ നിപുണനും ആയിരുന്നു. കർമാനുസാരം ഉച്ച-നീച ദേഹികൾ പ്രാപിക്കുന്ന ഗതികളെ അദ്ദേഹം പ്രത്യക്ഷമായി കണ്ടിരുന്നു.
