हिमवन्तं त्वया गुप्ता गमिष्याम: पितामह । बह्वाश्चर्यो हि देश: स श्रूयते द्विजसत्तम,द्विजश्रेष्ठ पितामह! हमलोग आपसे ही सुरक्षित होकर हिमालय पर्वतकी यात्रा करेंगे। सुना जाता है, वह प्रदेश अनेक आश्वर्यजनक दृश्योंसे भरा हुआ है
himavantaṁ tvayā guptā gamiṣyāmaḥ pitāmaha | bahvāścaryo hi deśaḥ sa śrūyate dvijasattama ||
വൈശമ്പായനൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ദ്വിജശ്രേഷ്ഠനായ പിതാമഹാ! നിങ്ങളുടെ സംരക്ഷണത്തിൽ ഞങ്ങൾ ഹിമവാനിലേക്കു (ഹിമാലയത്തിലേക്കു) യാത്ര ചെയ്യും. ആ ദേശം അനേകം അത്ഭുതങ്ങളാൽ നിറഞ്ഞതാണെന്ന് കേൾക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.
