व्याधि-गुण-साम्योपदेशः | Discourse on Affliction, Guṇa-Equilibrium, and the Inner Battle

यत्र नैव शरै: कार्य न भृत्यैर्न च बन्धुभि: । आत्मनैकेन योद्धव्यं तत्‌ ते युद्धमुपस्थितम्‌,मनके साथ होनेवाले इस युद्धमें न तो बाणोंका काम है और न सेवकों तथा बन्धु- बान्धवोंका ही। इस समय इसमें आपको अकेले ही युद्ध करना है और वह युद्ध सामने उपस्थित है

yatra naiva śaraiḥ kāryaṁ na bhṛtyair na ca bandhubhiḥ | ātmanāikena yoddhavyaṁ tat te yuddham upasthitam ||

അമ്പുകൾക്കും പ്രയോജനമില്ല, ഭൃത്യർക്കും ഇല്ല, ബന്ധുക്കൾക്കും ഇല്ല—അവിടെ നീ ഒറ്റയ്ക്കായി സ്വയം തന്നോടു യുദ്ധിക്കണം. ആ യുദ്ധം ഇപ്പോൾ നിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ എത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
