अध्याय ९ — धृतराष्ट्रस्य युधिष्ठिरं प्रति राजनित्युपदेशः
Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Counsel on Royal Policy to Yudhiṣṭhira
वयमास्म यथा सम्यग् भवतो विदितं तथा । “नरेश्वर! आपके पुत्रने कभी थोड़ा-सा भी अन्याय हमलोगोंके साथ नहीं किया। हमलोग उन राजा दुर्योधनपर भी पिताके समान विश्वास करते थे और उनके राज्यमें बड़े सुखसे जीवन व्यतीत करते थे। यह बात आपको भी विदित ही है"
vayamāsma yathā samyag bhavato viditaṃ tathā |
വൈശമ്പായനൻ പറഞ്ഞു— ഹേ നരേശ്വരാ! നിങ്ങൾക്ക് നന്നായി അറിയുന്നതുപോലെ തന്നെയാണ് ഞങ്ങൾ പറയുന്നത്. നിങ്ങളുടെ പുത്രൻ ഞങ്ങളോടു ഒരിക്കലും അല്പമെങ്കിലും അന്യായം ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല. ഞങ്ങൾ രാജാവ് ദുര്യോധനനെ പിതാവിനെപ്പോലെ വിശ്വസിച്ചു; അവന്റെ രാജ്യത്തിൽ മഹാസുഖത്തോടും തൃപ്തിയോടും കൂടി ജീവിച്ചു. ഇതും നിങ്ങൾക്കറിയാമല്ലോ.
