विकल्पा बहुधा राजन्नापदां पाण्डुनन्दन । सामादिभिरुपन्यस्य गणयेत्‌ तान्‌ नृप: सदा,राजन! पाण्डुनन्दन! उन आपत्तियोंके अनेक प्रकारके विकल्प हैं। राजा साम आदि उपायोंद्वारा उन सबको सामने लाकर सदा गिने

Transliteration

dhṛtarāṣṭra uvāca | vikalpā bahudhā rājann āpadāṃ pāṇḍunandana | sāmādibhir upanyasya gaṇayet tān nṛpaḥ sadā ||

Translation

ധൃതരാഷ്ട്രൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ രാജൻ, ഹേ പാണ്ഡുനന്ദന! ആ ആപത്തുകൾക്ക് പലവിധത്തിലുള്ള വഴിമാറ്റങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ട്. രാജാവ് സാമം മുതലായ രാജനീതിയുപായങ്ങളാൽ ആ സാധ്യതകളെല്ലാം മനസ്സിനു മുന്നിൽ വെച്ച്, എപ്പോഴും അവയെ സൂക്ഷ്മമായി കണക്കിലെടുക്കണം.
