Transliteration

parimāṇaṃ viditvā ca daṇḍaṃ daṇḍyeṣu bhārata

Translation

വൈശമ്പായനൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ ഭാരത, ശിക്ഷയുടെ യഥോചിതമായ അളവ് ആദ്യം നിർണ്ണയിച്ച ശേഷം മാത്രമേ ശിക്ഷാർഹരിൽ ദണ്ഡം പ്രയോഗിക്കേണ്ടത്।
